Dr Dave Collins BVSc FANZCVS small animal medicine
Dave is a Registered Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine in Australia and New Zealand.
He has 24 years of experience as a veterinarian and has been working in referral medicine for the last 11 years.
Dave grew up on Sydney’s northern beaches and graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995.
Dave has membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Medicine of Dogs (2003) Medicine of Cats (2006) Emergency and Critical Care (2011)
In 2007 Dave was the Practitioner in Residence at the University of Sydney.
In 2008 he started his Residency in Small Animal Medicine at the Veterinary Specialist Centre, Sydney and during his training he spent time at a number of veterinary referral centres across Sydney and the USA.
From 2011 to 2015, Dave worked at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) in Sydney and attained his specialist qualification in 2013, Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Science in Small Animal Internal Medicine (FANZCVS).
Dave has been an examiner for the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists on several occasions and has been a speaker at and convener of international veterinary conferences (www.vetsontour.com.au) in New Zealand, Japan and Italy for over 10 years.
Dave is interested in all areas of internal medicine, particularly cardiorespiratory medicine, emergency medicine, chronic gastrointestinal disease, hepato-biliary disease and endocrinology.
