Many health problems can develop quickly and without any warning signs, so regular vet visits become even more important. Your vet will be able to assess your pet’s overall health and recommend treatments or lifestyle changes if needed. They may also suggest supplements, medications or vaccinations that can give your pet extra protection and comfort as they grow older.

Adjust Diet and Exercise Regimen. As pets age, their dietary needs change as well. Older pets may require different levels of protein, carbohydrates, and fats than when they were younger.
