Owning a new puppy can be a very exciting (and busy!) time for pet owners. There are some crucial health care measures that need to be taken to ensure your new furry friend gets the best start in life.

PUPPY CHECKLIST
Age Requirements
2 Weeks Intestinal worming (Roundworm/Hookworm/Tapeworm/Whipworm)
4 Weeks Intestinal worming – all wormer
6-8 Weeks 1st Vaccination (C4)
Microchip implant
8 Weeks Intestinal worming and monthly Heartworm combined (Milbemax)
Start Bravecto flea and tick preventative (puppies over 8 weeks and over 2kg)
10 Weeks Intestinal worming and monthly Heartworm combined (Milbemax)
12 Weeks (3 months) 2nd Vaccination (C5 or C7)
Intestinal worming (Milbemax) Start Heartworm injection (SR12)
Start Bravecto if have not already at 8 weeks and continue every 3 months
16 Weeks (4 months) 3rd Vaccination (C4 or C4 + Leptospirosis) – now complete for 12 months
Intestinal worming/monthly Heartworm combined (Milbemax) continue monthly
Recheck weight for puppies who started Bravecto at 8 weeks and continue every 3 months
20 Weeks (5 months) Intestinal worming (Milbemax)
24 weeks (6 months) Intestinal worming every 3 months onwards (Milbemax)
Desexing – Small Dogs (adult size up to 15kgs)
Heartworm injection booster (SR12)
52 weeks (1 year) Desexing – Medium – Large Dogs (over 15kgs)
Continue Intestinal worming every 3 months
Bravecto Flea and Tick preventation every 3 months
60 weeks Heartworm injection booster (SR12)
Vaccination & health check
Continue Intestinal worming and Bravecto flea and tick preventative every 3 months
FOR LIFE Annual health check, vaccination and heartworm injection (SR12) is recommended
Intestinal worming (Milbemax) continues every 3 months
Bravecto flea and tick preventative continues every 3 months
